Is Support Raising Biblical?

Shouldn't we move to Ecuador get a job, and then do ministry on the side? Shouldn't we be tent-makers like Paul? Is raising support in order to devote ourselves to full-time missionary ministry actually biblical? We believe that support raising for missionaries is thoroughly biblical or else we would not be doing this. For example, Paul consistently received gifts from various churches in order to send him on his missionary callings, he was only a tent-maker for limited amounts of times until he could receive full support for his ministry (Acts 18:1-5). The Bible consistently makes it clear that those who labor in ministry are worth of their wages:

1 Cor 9:14 In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel.

One of the most famous verses in the Bible is based on Christians providing for Paul (doing their part in fulfilling the Great Commission by financially providing/sending Paul to the nations):

Phil 4:18 I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. 19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Jesus Himself was also financially provided for out of the means of those who followed Him so that he could minister full time:

Luke 8:1-3 - After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him, 2 and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out; 3 Joanna the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod’shousehold; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.

I say all that not to necessarily justify what we are doing, but just to encourage you all that there is a consistent biblical witness to Christians providing for pastors, missionaries and workers in order that they should be able to focus on full-time ministry, and in return, the giver is tremendously blessed and assured that God will meet their every need in Christ Jesus!
